Well I tried to find some info, there is (was) a Texas State Muzzling loading Association that is in Brady Tx and also the Alamo Muzzle loading club group located out of SATX. There maybe some local too , let see if other Texas shooters have input.

Red Owl,
I am the secretary of Alamo Muzzle Loading Gun Club. We are a private club with family membership. Our range is located just outside LaCoste, TX, a couple of miles south of Highway 90 and about four miles east of Castroville.

If you shoot much it's a lot more affordable to join the club than to pay the daily fees at ranges around here.
Look at our web site, Alamo Muzzle Loading Gun Club and you will see pictures of the range and information on joining.

We have muzzle loading competition shoots every first Sunday, and thee or four musket skirmishes a year. Come on down and visit us at one of those shoots. We are a friendly bunch.

The TMLRA uses a municipal range in Brady, TX and has quarterly shoots. Our club's VP is on their board. Several of our members are regular shooters at TMLRA events. TMLRA does have a facebook page, Log into Facebook

was a member of the Alamo club from 74-82, was secretary for a while too. Moved to Montana in 82., now back in the Piney woods of East Texas.

I thought "precious" was sort of an endearment term used for women. When "W" ran for President I was working the polls and two older, blue haired women were there.
Blue haired Woman #1, "oh don't you just love Laura, isn't she just precious"
Blue haired Woman #2 " oh yes, I wish she was my daughter, etc. etc."

OK, time for Blackberry Cobbler. :)
