Building a little dainty halfstock (Bean/TN) as a lightweight hunter out of spare parts and really not wanting a nosecap or entry thimble. Think poorboy + halfstock. Cant decide if i want to just smooth and round the front of the stock or give it a little shape. Anyone have any pictures of such? Push come to shove it would he a great time to practice a pewter cap pour....but holding that as last option....I'd have more time learning that than the rest of the build 😂

The builder of this little .45 kids rifle (he calls them "rugrat" rifles) has retired from building. It fits me, is accurate and light weight. The barrel is 15/16" X 25" and is used for targets.

I suspect there were probably as many poor boy half stocks made as there were full stocked ones. Just lock, stock and barrel and very little elset. Trigger of couse, also buttplate and trigger guard and that would be aboul it. Probably quite a few made with noting but wood out front.
