so, i didn't see any javelina on my muzzleloader pig hunt. tons of deer and elk, though. go figure.
but what's worse, after a long drive on a rough road into our hunting spot, when i took the gun out of the case, both the front post and the rear dovetail sight had fallen completely off the gun. the screw that held the rear sight on rattled loose, and the front post just slid off the side of the gun. I got it all put back together, but it was disheartening.
Is there a more reliable rear sight for my CVA sharpshooter than the factory system? it seems kind of cheap, and rattles a lot, and has play to it, etc. also, how can i keep the front post from sliding on rough rides?
also, is a trigger job hard to do? the thing has an unbearable trigger pull. I kind of like things in the 2-3 pound range. this thing has got to be 6 pounds, at least.
