I want to thank all of you for your gracious responses--and especially to Skychief and Critter Getter--I apologize for my tardy reply. I've been traveling and just returned to Montana. This rifle was built by Edwin Parry of Blackhart Longarms. Check out his website for some great eye-candy and pics of this rifle. It's the Bonewitz/Wommelsdorf and Ed is quite an accomplished artist! I've bought 3 of his rifles, gifted two of them to sons/eventually grandsons in an attempt to keep this tradition alive in my family. This rifle is "mine" for as long as I stay above ground; after that it will go to another son. It shoots far better than I do and is the only gun I've used for several years. Thanks again for your interest, and yes, the satisfaction from a successful hunt with a flintlock far exceeds anything else I've done hunting!
