If you can get linen of the right thickness its perhaps the toughest.
But like cotton it gotta be the right fit.
Also the ole high thread count linen of the 18th and 19th century is hard to come by today.
I often intentionally shrink linen if it will.

Try Fabric.com for linen some of the medium weight stuff is about right if you need .010-.012 linen.
I have some swatches on order right now.
Remember it does not conpress as well as cotton so a slightly thinner linen patch will load like a slightly thicker cotton one.

Hi Dan,
Went to that Site but am still not sure about what is a "medium" weight. Many choices even when doing a search, then, seems like you have to buy a minimum of 4 yards.
