Thanks Sam. You gonna hunt squirrels out your way? I'll be hunting them on type 2 land pretty close to you with my muzzleloading Sxs the state set aside 2 properties for type 2 squirrel hunting both in Houston county

Hi Howie,
I have been out looking for squirrels but haven't seen or heard any close by.
The must have all found a better food source than what I have around here.
This year has been the slimmest sightings of squirrels around my place that I can remember...
But, I keep looking cause you never know...

Wow Howie, what a score. I bought my first Renegade last September for $165. Nothing extra. Mine was an early kit gun. The builder was very good and it looked little used but you made a terrific score. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you men I've got 3 other renegade and have 2 of them rebored to 1-66@ twist .58 caliber. I may leave this one alone but would like a fast twist .54 since I have a nice .50 already. Or take one of my other extra renegade barrels and have it turned into a .62 smooth bore

Great deal. Had one many moons ago and it was a great rifle

Great score, ditch the pyrodex and use the holy black!
Dave I shoot both pyrodex and holy black, matter of fact ive got about 16 lbs from 4 different manufacturers, I however do shoot pyrodex and pyrodex works for me. basically I use what powder gives me the best accuracy out of any given rifle, all are tested with holy black and the various pyrodex powders. a few of my rifles like pyrodex better than holy black, im really not sure why so many people will say ditch the pyrodex use holy black? I have no problem ordering holy black online and I can find pyrodex locally. 5 of my roundball only guns I shoot holy black because in those rifles that is what they like when I use my investarms .54 or 58 they get holy black

Howie harvests a lot of hogs using pyrodex to launch his projectiles... it works for him.
Sam A.
yes sir the rifles I use for hogs I use pyrodex because that's what the gun likes for the best accuracy if holy black worked better or produced better groups in my hog muzzleloaders id shoot holy black, still not sure why people continue to knock and bash pyrodex, it works for me!!!

Amen brother!
Walk

Congratulations, great deal. Renegades are bulletproof. My .54 Renegade will outshoot all my other round ball guns except for a .40 of unknown maker.
Good luck, and smoke some hogs!
