So… probably don’t really need a sheath for a tamper, but winter can be long, so small projects help keep my sanity. Had a few scraps of rawhide and lacing. Hung a few dew claws and barn owl feathers on either side, then hung a single crow’s claw in the center. put a loop on the back to tie to maybe a bag strap.. or something
Ya wouldn't think a little tamper needed so much protection.

Wichoun...

I appreciate the heads up nhmoose. I've been doing detailed airbrushing for many years. not easy, even some smaller ones can take many days. even the sheath I've added highlights.

Scalp lock 2.jpg
I try to go as real as possible on most things. I just redid on my 25 year old griz necklace. I used real senew and also artificial senew. Artificial is just sometimes just easier. When I make a scalp lock, I've used real hair often. As in the picture below. Starting to redesign my pipe stem. Scalp locks are obviously different from a scalp. I believe the native Americans used real hair on the locks as well. When going to fight/battle, they were to remind the warrior of those back home they fight for and of the ancestors past, and generations to come. But I could be corrected. Horse and buffalo hair took over at some point.
