I was looking at a traditions napolean 3 gold finish 69 cal cannon.
My question is being that it is gold plated would the fuse/flash hole area show wear .burn off in that area when fired.
Thanks

It’s kind of a display piece, I bet the gold plate is pretty thin and would wear off with handeling.
They used to plate toucholes and flash pans with gold. It’s noble and won’t rust or tarnish. Rubbing off though, it’s not very tough.

I have the traditions .50 version but it’s nickel plated.

There hasn’t been any problems with the finish anywhere for as much as I’ve shot it.

I’m thinking about getting the .69 caliber version with the nickel finish.

Please talk me out of it.

Good luck finding one, I have been looking years for one. When they first came out they were about $125 if I remember right. Now I hear they are $400 or $500 if you can find them.
