referring to your pursuit of the next big RB , your OP stated you had a .45 and .50 now wante a larger .54 so once that is achieved wouldnt the next progression be .58 ? (no TC didnt make a Renegade in .58)
You are mistaken. T/C made the "Big Boar" .58. Basically a Renegade Hunter model with a .58 caliber barrel.

Were all the Thompson Center .58's a Hawken then?
I would have sworn I saw a "Big Bore" .58 Renegade for sale on Gun Broker about a year ago.

I know Thompson Center made some .58 caliber sidelock guns.

They give loads for the .58 in the 'SHOOTING THOMPSON CENTER SIDELOCK BLACK POWDER GUNS' manual. (quote) "For use with .58 Cal. T/C Rifles ..." (end quote) PRB is on page 77. Conicals are on page 80.

A renegade barrel can be made into a 58 as can a 1" TC Hawken.
