Not much to go on Tim. What model? A picture would help, there are some better than original, after market locks available that fit some of their guns, I believe.

Tim, Welcome to the ML Forum. I have a complete early percussion 40 cal Turner Kirkland rifle. If it is the same model as yours I can help you out with photo's and dimensions of the lock. You would be surprised what turns up on evil-Bay and at gun shows. Post some pics and we will see. Thanks Dan

Its a .41 cal, the man that gave it to me is in his 80's and he said he got it from his father in the late 50's....all i know

Looks just like mine ( but in much better shape ) nice lock to now i just need to find one

Tim, I've attached some photo's of the lock and some basic dimensions to get you in the ballpark. I would start with Grenadier1758's suggestion to compare your dimensions to what Track Of The Wolf has available and if its not a time pressed project watch the auction sites and gun shows. Best of luck. Dan
