Has anyone ever used MPC PL-10 grease for minie bullets as bullet lubricant? If so what are your experiences with it?
Tks for your input

Personally, I would steer cleer of anything petroleum based. I use a home brew of Trex (Crisco) and bees wax. 80/20 for warm weather and 70/30 for cold. Others swear by SPG but this side of the pond that's an expensive way to shoot.

Ditto for avoiding any dead dinosaur product for lube with real black powder.

As for Crisco, I read in a forum archive about how Crisco changed their formula to remove the blood mud part and as a side effect, accuracy fell off a bit for black powder shooters. I did a head to head experiment with Crisco v Lard and in every case in the gun I was working with, lard won for accuracy. All other variables were held constant. I'm not a fan of SPG. Best general purpose lube for shooting minies that I've found so far is beeswax/lard about 60/40. Tallow subbed in for lard works as well.
