I’m looking for a Malcolm telescopic sight to put on a Pedersoli Missouri River Hawken rifle. Please message me with description and price.

Thanks,
Fred

These are pretty much non-existent on the Used market, I've been looking for a year for a used 6x for my Volunteer rifle.

Taylor's seems to have the best prices and will help you with the right mounts.

The nearest I saw to a used Hi Lux Malcolm was one for $600 that came with a T/C Hawken mounted to it :) probably should have bought it.

People who buy and mount Hi Lux Malcolm scopes usually don't sell them but scouring EBay or GunBroker may eventually turn one up. Honestly you'll probably wait a month of Sundays to find one used and then sellers want just below retail for them.

Yes, I think you should have

Go up on leatherwood scope website and they have 4x and 6x short scopes, gas filled, good coated glass, but medium width crosshairs.

Throw away the two locking screws and retap bases 1/4-28, install 3/16" long dog point or cup point set screws.

Grind a flat on redfield scope base opposite cup lock screws side.

The set screws wont come loose or strip out like original lock screws.
