Gents, I'm wondering what your favorite bullet lube recipe is. I mixed some 50/50 beeswax olive oil last night and it seems pretty good, not too gooey, not too hard. I just want to make sure it stays put in the grooves. I thought I would check with you all first, maybe there is a better one.

Thanks.

It's hard to beat that lube but whether or not it stays in the groves depends on the temperature. I do most of my shooting on quite warm days and would use more beeswax. If you are up north and shooting this time of year your mix might be a little stiff.

I use the Gatofeo’s #1 lube that was a traditional outside lubricated bullet lube from the late 1800’s I believe. It works well on my pistol bullets, felt wads, and REALs. I have been told it works as a good patch lube too.

I use Beeswax and olive oil mixed to whatever consistency you like.
I have hundreds of different lube recipes on file. I think everyone likes there own recipe.

I have great results with beeswax/lard and beeswax/olive oil mixed generally about 60/40.
