I picked up a kit rifle at a farm auction for a few bucks and want to see if I can make it shoot. I assume it was a CVA or Traditions. Only marks were on barrel saying Lugar and Spain. It was "assembled" but nor stained. The end thimble fell off just from handling as did one end of the ramrod. I got these back on and noticed the joint at the brass stock divider was a little loosey goosey. When I took it apart the only thing holding the stock assembly to the barrel was the end cap screw and the tang screw. At the stock joint were two pins (~2") that went in holes in each piece of the stock parallel to the barrel. The barrel was cut for an under lug, but none was there. Anybody tell me what I'm missing? I can make an under lug and pin, but just wonder if there was a part left out.
