I have a club member offering to sell me is 54 cal. GPR it was his later father in laws gun and he knows nothing on value. It is clean, rifle, cap lock.

I never messed around 54 cal rifles.

I have one and it's a good shooter. I see them in catalogs for 650.00 to about 700.00. Real good condition, Id probably ask 5 and expect 450.00. That's just me. If you want a .54 round ball gun with side hammer, you will like the gun.

I am gonna buy the rifle. I needed a 54 cal in the collection. I have a.45-two 50 and soon to be 54. lol

Good chice. Might ask and help them out if there are any supplies to go with it. They might not know what to do with the powder for example....

It’s good to have choices... a bullet shooting .45 and a ball shooter too. Then the same in .50, beyond that I like the bigger caliber rifles set up as ball shooters. Only because it’s unlikely that I will have an opportunity to hunt Elephant or Cape buffalo. Your new rifle will handle any herbivore on the continent!

I liked the one I had. People will tell you the 1:56 twist is too slow for conicals, but they shoot the Lee R.E.A.L. bullets real well, if you're so inclined.

I have the LGPR .54 Cal 1:60 barrel, great accuracy... love it, for what it's worth, a shop close to me has one for $350, but lots can be different between the one your looking at, and the one that is here.

wow great price. I am getting more then just rifle. They are including balls lots of em, cleaning supplies, caps, powder, capers, bullet molds...ETC :cool:

Hi,
The Lyman .54 cal. GPR is probably the very best gun you can buy for reliability, and problem free.
The .54 cal. gives the best power and flat shooting.
There are numerous rebuilds based on the Lyman stock design, that can be done with the very basic wood working experience.
With careful approach and patience you can have a custom gun without the custom gun cost.
Pay the man his price and get that bargain home before it disappears.
Fred
