Re-acquired muzzleloader

Anyone able to identify this for me and tell me more about it. Gave this to friend a long time ago to get him started. His buddy gave it to me for letting him hunt my private ground. It’s a win for me and funny I got it back.

Investarm is located in Marcheno, Italy, so I'd say Bubba 50 got it right. Looks like a nice hunting rifle at any rate.

If it's an Investarm, the barrel should be stamped somewhere with Investarm's "maker's mark" ( the letter I ).

Lymans are made in Italy by Investarms.

Yeah was processing my deer in the dark, well right at dark, and got bit. 4 stitches later came home and finished her up.

One of the Italian rifle imports, obviously. It looks to be a nice rifle, as many are, and should shoot very well.

I suspected as much. Got a couple of those merit badges myself. Had my wife stitch me up with monofiliment once after cutting a large barbed hook out of my thigh. I was not going to let that ruin my outing.

I just re-read the post, and what TX-GRIZ actually said was: "...a large barbed hook out of my thigh..."
Seems that the horse never never actually left the barn for this caper.

Good! I foolishly gave a friend a Tenn. Mt. rifle in the 1980's, which I thought I didn't want. He never used it, and I got more interested in ML as we got older. He gave it back to me recently and I couldn't be more happy! A true friend indeed!

I figured that but I could also tell you how to get a hoof in the thigh...also how to get one in the kneecap riding up behind a bitchy little mare. Apparently she had a beef with my gelding. Similarly off topic... the carbine looks like the Interarms that Cabelas sold for a number of years. I had one in .58 and like a fool traded it for something I can’t even remember. It was a dandy woods carbine for black timber elk hunting.

Interesting - I also had a .58 cal percussion model 120 B by Investarms. It was factory-made using a 15/16" octagon barrel with shallow wide grooves for rifling, so a conical was most accurate. http://www.investarm.com/media/img/120b.jpg
