I have what appears to be a large Siler Flintlock. It matches the general outline, but the only mark on it is on the inside of the lockplate-A letter"D" in a circle. Anybody?
 
OK. I looked on their website and my lock didn't exactly match any of theirs. Maybe it's an older design.

and at the bottom of the page it shows Davis made Siler Locks as no longer available. Mine must be from when they did make them. I didn't know that Davis made this lock.
 
At one time Bud Siler sold castings(lock kits) to a lot of people, and they assembled them. Davis may have bought a run of castings to assemble.
 
I'm sure it's a Davis as per above, but you can't discount the fact that many builders modify existing store-bought lock shapes to conform to the builds they are doing too.
