good job Mike!! we have the same gun, weve been friends along time funny how we started and how we are both now both smokepoleaholics and trad bows. weve both seen our daughters become great hunters, ive been shooting my Kentucky .45 a lot this week quarter size groups at 25 I guess I need to get busy we really have some nice bucks on our place in Trinity county but come muzzleloading season im gonna get me 2 does. on this place we agree to not shoot does until after the rut by then does only season is done until muzzleloading. im the only one ever to kill a doe on this place my friend and his 2 adult sons trophy hunt only except for the youngest 27 yr old I got him set up for hogs on our south property. ill be heading East on 103 during turkey season with my smokepole 12 and extra full chokes

Can't see the other antler but there is a nice winter project on this side. I really like it when they come with a Knife handle & maybe a pan primer on their heads like that. There's some toggels and button too. Sitting by the fire working on a knife, bowl of Venison stew I'm jealous, I got skunked this year.

Howie we have get together n try them birds!! I’m still playing with these shotguns for most part I need break out my 32 n left it bark. Yeah longbows n smoke poles the way to go!! Sure like gettin up close with either one.

I agree mike, I gained good experience with mine as we have a skeet and trap range here in Lufkin, I did take it dove hunting I recovered 12 birds. with those extra full chokes I exploded several birds. I bought my double 12 off this forumn, I bought it to use after I shot a hog to have 2 quick shots when searching for bow shot pigs. I was upset at first about how my gun was choked then I realized in these big pines its perfect for squirrel and turkey. ive played with some buckshot loads as well
