I found a JBMR in .45 last year and now will be also getting a .54! These guns SHOOT! I own several custom flintlocks as well but I really enjoy these guns.
 
Yes, they were well made guns. I was on the lookout for one for many years but nothing ever tripped my trigger.

Problem with those guns is they were too well made to stay in production at competitive prices, IMO.
 
Have a .50 and .54 myself. Both have the iron furniture. Think they ran production for only three or four years before they quit making them. From 1978 to 1981 or so?

When one could go out and buy a CVA or TC for less than half the price of a JBMR. They are very nice!
