Went out last week and got a few squirrels with my .36 cal Longrifle. What a blast... pun intended!;)

I have a 28 gauge trade gun that I would like to do that with. I need to get a shot snake

So far I've only had my 20 gauge Smooth Bore out one time for squirrels had a failure to fire due to a doll Flint have not had the chance to take it out again but will do so soon. It is a lot of fun.

My little AB Conely rifle like 40 grains of 3f with a .350 rb and it just pastes the little tree rats!

I don’t need, but want. It will probably make it a little easier than carrying a bag and my shot measuring cup...unless I just pre measured a bunch of charges of shot

Over the past few years squirrels are about all I go for. At this point I'm the only one I know who eats venison and the work to tan the hides is a bit much for me (I'm a use-the-whole-animal kinda guy). But stalking those limb chickens is genuinely fun. Decent eating too.

Around here we don’t waste any either. A good buddy at my BP club brain tans all our deer hides.

Sorry I'm a little late to the game here......

I've always wanted to try squirrel. Here in NV we have ground squirrels but no one eats them. I know the natives used to but.......

Do enjoy some cottontails though! Thanks for sharing!
