looking for a cva jukar or dikar kentucky rifle.

a few weeks ago I purchased what I thought was a traditions Kentucky percussion .45. the gun was in great dhape. however trigger pull was 13 lbs. I posted a post on fixes the great members here helped get it to 6 lbs
im always tring to get better if something is good I want it better. this lock had a screw through the tumbler however the head was broke off. so I polished etc. the tang stuc up above the wood so I sanded dremeled until it was seated right. long story shaort. I started inletting the stock for a davis deerslayer trigger. low and behold the tang screw wasn't in the same screw location. somehow I messed the lockup, so for now im done messing with this piece of junk.
as stated looking for a cva jukar or diker scratches blemishes are ok missing sights ok brass don't need it. basically the only requirement is to have a rust pit free bore with a good working order lock with a trigger the same or better than 6lbs

Oh Howie, You're beating yourself to death.
That screw in the tumbler is the sear screw. if that screw is missing it will give you a hard trigger pull, That screw adjusts the sear engagement. If the lock bolts are too tight the trigger will be hard to pull also.
I don't know why you need a new barrel or how much money you have in the gun, but finding a good barrel will be difficult.

Keep in mind you may be better off cutting your losses at this point and upgrading.

There are a few on Gunbroker in either 45 or 50cal. There is a .45cal Jukar on Armslist for $149.

FOR $300, you can buy a new Traditions Kentucky Rifle kit and make it exactly as you want.
