you should be able to put a brass shim in the lock tumbler and shorten the travel distance for the trigger pull. I have done this on a long range ML. You can try different thickness pieces and attach them with super glue. Once you get the right pull you want, I would solder the shim on. I dont want the shim to come off at the wrong time.

Personally I don't recommend this method. You are in fact lessoning the trigger engagement and it can lead to a dangerous condition.
It is far better to A: check the sear spring with consideration to binding and or its weight and B: stone the sear to a better angle. Most act like a hook in the tumbler instead of two sliding surfaces.
