Hi Rick,
Do the springs have pins that go all the way through the stock? If so, gently tap those pins with a similar sized punch. If the gun is an original, clean the top of the springs and any gunk around them with a toothbrush before tapping them out. You just have to be very careful as you remove them that they don't catch a chip of wood.

Hi Dave. Thanks for your reply. Actually, the springs have a small, short pin that appears to go less than half way through the stock.

Hi Rick,
Then they have to be pried out with a very narrow screw driver. I assume there is no better access to them when the barrel is removed? Anyway, Rick, I suspect Gus Fraser on the forum (Artificer) might be a good reference.

Hi Dave
The narrow screw driver is the only thing I can think of. No access with the barrel removed. But yes, good idea. I'll check with Gus first. Thanks.
Rick

Well, I received a PM from Gus. Put on my readers and sure enough the pins go all the way through. So I'll just carefully remove them with a 1/16 punch. Embarrassing !!! LOL Pout. As they say:
Never Mind. LOL Thanks again.
Rick
