4" x 1 3/8" Round fire Kit Tin Container, with jute and a flint.
A great little item to keep in your haversack or camp box. Punch a small hole in the center of the lid, fill it with tinder materials, lay it on some hot coals, watch it puff smoke and soon you'll have a new back of char cloth to help you with your flint !!!

I stand corrected Sir, this one passed the magnet test, it is a steel container.
I've bought others before from Dave Canterbury's Pathfinder Shop with screw on lids that are tin !!!

Update" Thanks to the keen eye of Crewdawg445, I'm correcting the composition of this container to be steel and not tin !!!
