There are limits on how large a picture file can be.
High pixel pictures don't show up any better on a web page than low pixel pictures. Usually a picture with a resolution of about 100 pixels per inch will look just as sharp as a picture with 500 pixels per inch and they use much less file space.
That means they will load faster on a persons screen.

Save your High pixel photos for making large posters. :)
