Not sure if this goes here or in the Workshops section. Back in 1973 I bought a used Uberti .44 Remington Revolver. The previous owner had antiqued it and installed bone hand grips and brazed the front sight so it shot dead on. Unfortunately he (I am presuming it was a "he") had ground down the hammer so it had a VERY light trigger. I shot it from 1973 to 2000 and finally the damn thing would not cock. The hammer had worn down to where it would only go to half cock. I ordered a new hammer from Uberti but when I got it it would not fit. I contacted Uberti and they said that when this gun was made they were all metric. So I am stuck with a nice looking gun that I cannot shoot. I am not sure if the original hammer can be welded and the full cock notch re-cut.
Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry it took so long to get back. I wanted to post pix but I have been fighting with photobucket. Now all of a sudden they cut back the number of pictures you can store unless you pay them. Anyway I noticed that my trigger was bent a little at the very top. I ordered a new trigger and it works perfectly. Still has a very light trigger but nothing I can't handle. So problem solved.. Thanks for the responses

If whatever your running has the ability to "COPY" and "PASTE" you can just Copy the picture, come to your new post on the forum and Paste it into the text box. Choose either Full size or Thumbnail, enter your post and POOF! The picture will be there.
You can paste several pictures into one post.

Oh OK. I had several pictures on Photobucket of some of my guns so I thought it would just be a quick thing to go on there, and post the picture.. and that was when I found out PB was going to hold my pictures for ransom until I joined the monthly pay thing. Luckily I was quick enough to copy all the pix and save them. I just hate it when that happens.. I tried the copy and paste thing but when I clicked on the image thing in the tool bar it wanted my "Image URL" and I don't have an image URL.

Don't click on the "image thing".
Just write whatever you want to write on the forum. Then open another tab or window and go to where ever the picture is, hold your cursor over it and do whatever you have to do to "Copy" the image into your computers temporary memory.

Then, come back here to your partially finished post.
Go to the last word, hit return, then do the "Paste" thing. The picture you copied will appear in your post.
