Hello from Georgia, my name is Dan Masson. I have a new to me muzzle loader that I have a few questions about and will post it in a different part of the forum. I have been shooting muzzle loaders for many years, and have 2 Great Plains rifles that I have built from kits and one pistol that I have built from a kit. I have successfully hunted with each of them. I used to shoot the rifles in matches, those matches have gone away. I now shoot in silhouette matches, IHMSA, with handguns. Thanks for having me!

Hi Dan

I am also new to the M/L Forum...saw your post and got the impression that you know quite a bit about these type of sport fire arms, so here I go.

Over twenty years ago, a friend who lost her husband asked if I would take some items that her husband had in his den. I of course said yes, and about a month later she drove down with two things. 1. A partially finished two wing model plane remote control gas eng. (I finished it). 2. A Hawken 54 Cal. cap lock rifle. The Hawken which I thought was a replica has been locked away all this time and now I would like to sell same. Any idea of the value?
The model plane I still have as well, but I will retain that.
Thanks much.

Bob

Do you know of any interested party?

Bob, there are many on this forum that know much more about these smoke poles than I.
There is a "guns for sale" forum below. Read the rules, I don't know if you have to have a minimum post count or be a contributor.
If not, post there with photos.
List with details...barrel length, barrel twist, caliber, what brand gun, etc. can go to general forum and ask about value. Folks here want a good value, and so no one is likely to pay full market price. But people here are fair, and aren't going to rip you off either.
Dan
