If there were true infractions, apologize and try to learn and improve on it. Or find a way to keep it safer.
If not, tell the guy his ear muffs may pinch his foreskin if he isn't careful.
Some people have no diplomacy skills and they ruffle my feathers. None of us are perfect.

I am fortunate that I dont have to shoot at a pubic range unless I am at a match. But then I am with like minded people. I am usually the only idiot I have to put up with when I am not at a match and shooting.

Fleener

I like fleener don't have to shoot on a public range. There is one available but I don't go there but rarely. A couple of shooting friends and I have a desert canyon we go to shoot . It is fairly close but not really easy to get to, need 4x4 or really get knocked about driving on certain parts of a road. We can get an easy 300 yards, and out to about 480 on a hillside. On the hillside though got to be careful about going over the top. Luckily for about 10 or so years no one else has chosen to go there regularly. A couple of times a year we might find someone's brass but never met them.
Public ranges to me are just troublesome, one never knows who's there.

Well, there are public ranges and the there are PUBLIC ranges. It's one thing to have to join a club or range whereas even though the public goes there, there are dues to be paid and revocation of memberships if people screw up. Most times in this case there are not issues.

Then you have the PUBLIC ranges usually run by the state, or an organization such as the game commission as it is here. In the latter scenario there are either no dues or only small dues involved so people here don't care what happens if they get caught doing something wrong. Yes they may get fined etc but they usually don't get kicked out so there's no incentive for them to mend their ways.
