We like to go to Bernardo my buddy nick has some pretty sweet spots we will have to link up this season and get some ducks. He also has a secret recipe I am dying to try.
I am totally down!!
Bernardo was a damn ghost town last year...
I want to put in for sandhill crane this year.
Not only for meat but the feathers are great and actually were used more by the eastern natives than eagle feathers from what I understand.
Do you have any interest in reenacting?

Funny, being originally from NY where dove are protected so I am still getting used the fact they can be hunted here.
I have some river cane that I am going to turn into a Cherokee blow gun that might have to take out some doves that end up in the wrong neighborhood...
I am trying to emulate a period around 1766 in the last year of Ponitac's War

Welcome Cody, this is a good sight to get your bearings, Black powder shooters are a friendly breed, wanting to help to get people introduced to the sport. I am sure you will acquire the necessaries by research and what fits your needs. Maybe even make some of your gear, that's a lot of fun of it.
