Hi 8Bore,
I replied on the forum, I hope you got my message. I'm not sure what a PM is, I've never been on forum and I'm technically challenged (born 100 years out of time).
Thanks for the info, Mike
I'm writing this so you and all the others who don't know can figure out how to deal with PM's.
In case you haven't figured it out by now, PM stands for "Private Message". On the new forum software they call it a, "Conversation".
You can send a person a PM or Conversation by holding your cursor over the persons picture or, if they don't have a picture in their posts, just hold it over the place where their picture would be. Then, click on it to select it.
That will open a little black window and in that window you will see a "Start a Conversation". Select it, then put a title into the message name box and then write whatever you want to write in the area below it.
PM's can only be seen by the person you are sending it to and yourself. That's why they are called "Private".
To see if you have any PM's or to see if someone responded to your message look up in the right hand area of the forum screen for a icon that looks like an envelope. If it has a red number in it, it is telling you how many unread PM's you have.
To see your PM's hold your cursor over the envelope. It will show you the first couple of messages so you can select them.
If you want to see all of your messages there is a place at the bottom of the little window that lets you "Show All" of them so you can pick and choose which one you want to open.
Now, let's get back to the advertisement.
