Agree my friend. I own several of the Pedersoli makes. My Frontier & BlueRidge are larger. My Bess are even larger yet!

Anyway, my Kentucky and Cub Scout also uses 5/8. Looks to me that the Alamo would also be near that size as well?

Thought I’d check with my buddies here first. I pretty much have all sizes covered between the different flintlock’s I have.

Bottom line is that it was out of pure curiosity prior to getting my hands on this one.

Even called John at TOW and he wasn’t exactly sure. He had guessed that it would probably be a 5/8 flint as well?

Respectfully, Cowboy

Unless something very recently has changed, the following Pedersoli all use the same lock whether flint or percussion-

Kentucky rifle
Pennsylvania rifle
Dixie Pennsylvania rifle
Alamo rifle
Dixie Deluxe Cub rifle
Scout rifle
Kentucky pistol
Kentucky Deluxe pistol
Navy Moll pistol
Bounty pistol

These models I believe have the same locks as the above weapons but I'm going by memory here so I could be wrong

Country Hunter rifle
Charles Moore pistol
Continental Dueling pistol

The flint's shipped with the flintlocks currently measure 5/8 by 3/4. They are a touch long but work. 5/8 by 5/8 works much better. Hope this helps.

I can't help you much with flint size Cowboy, as I once owned an Alamo rifle in percussion.

Just wanted to say that it was a nice little light weight rifle in 45 caliber that shot very well. I'm sorry that I sold it and one day if a chance arises, would buy another.
