Hmmmm. Just looking there, it's going to cost a good deal more to build one from parts than it is to buy a couple of real ones. Even a backsight is $300...

Good luck with your project.
Really depends on what the OP needs for parts? If it’s maybe one or two he’s looking for? Of course money and parts dictate. Parts availability vs $$ .

'Parts for a build original' to me says that he is building a complete 'original' gun from 'original' parts. I stopped adding up at $1450, me, and counting.

I need parts for a build original, if reasonable, or reproduction. Does anyone know of a place that sells original or reproduction parts?
I would be thankful for any help.

Rudy,

First of all, WELCOME to the forum!

Since it is not listed in your Avatar, I have no idea where you live. However, if you live on the East Coast or not too far away, I strongly suggest the way to begin such a build would be to buy an Enfield that was cut down in the period and has far less value. That way you might get a decent or "re-buildable" lock, butt plate, trigger guard, etc and the cost of such a build would be much lower - ESPECIALLY if you can re-stock the gun from a plank of wood.
