I went out and shot my matchlock and two handgonnes. Lots of fun and smoke but I sure didn't hit much. The matchlock is a 12 gauge and the handgonnes are .50 caliber.

All self built except the 12 gauge barrel blank. It really helps when you want them to look old and somewhat crude. There is no way I could build a nice looking custom rifle.
Handgonne makers are hard to find. You might have a market.
Here's a video of my 7 year old grandson firing one of the handgonnes. He did 5 shots before he quit and actually hit the target paper once. So cancel the video, it's too large. But he had fun and made some smoke. Grandpa was happy too.
I think I have a photo from the video. It's pretty fuzzy but you can see Levi and the smoke.
