These locks lack a bridle and to make them work smoother and perhaps longer I tried adding a bridle. A buddy has a pistol that he allowed me to experiment on. Adding a screw and a spacer that doesn't show in the photo to position a plate made the lock work in a more positive manner. Only the screw head needed inlet into the stock.

Is that the stock/factory installed tumbler for that lock? Or a replacement?
Usually with the non-bidled locks,, the tumbler doesn't have the extended bridle post.
 
Yes it’s just as it came from the factory. I’ve seen them both with and without the post on unbridled Traditions, I guess they use whatever is in the bin of that day. I had polished the rough edge on the main spring.
