Just for those of us that don't know,
Where is this event? Address? Maybe a town/city/state name?
I will be retired soon, maybe try and make it to the event.

Grizz the event is in Friendship Indiana, it is held each June then again in September.

The Forum Woods Walk is just one of many shooting events offered,.

I have shot the match 3 or 4 times over the years myself, it’s always a fun shoot and nice too put a face on some of the names we see here.

Some of the Guys that live close by have put several hours in to making improvements too the various ranges, which I would like too say Thank You to all those involved ...

They do get a little rain there from time to time...

Sept 2018.

Just a thought Guys, if the match was scheduled for the first Saturday, then if it rained you could maybe get it in on Sunday.... some years it wouldn’t matter .. lol

Historically, the opening Saturday doesn't draw many shooters to woodswalk, maybe a dozen or fewer. There's so much registering, shopping, gawking, and running in to old friends that it just isn't worth opening on that day. But a big rain like we had opening weekend, and closing day this year (and last September's opener) can drench the course for a day or two. A broken leg will spoil the entire week.

this was sent to me today. I think the picture was also taken today.

The black circled area is where I camp.

I got to see Trent I think when I was scooping ice cream for the masses and Barry when I was selling powder.

Those pictures look like they were taken last fall. I was down there then. This spring it rained a lot, but I didn’t think the river overflowed the banks.

It flooded this past weekend.

I spoke to the President today, apparently there were people that camp in the Skeet area that did not heed the warning to get out while they could. They are stuck back there until the the road can be fixed.

For those that dont know you have to drive down the creek for about 50 yards, get on dry land, then cross the creek again. The creek feeds into the river that is pictured above. The creeks in that part of the world are solid rock bottoms, not like Iowa.

I took them off the nmlra fb page from members that were still there in their campers sunday up on the high ground by the education center. I believe this is the 2nd time THIS last 6 weeks this has happened to the headquarters complex.

Thanks for the update Guys.
I hope everyone there stays safe.
I think they are fine in the office. I am starting to get notifications that my credit card charges are starting to come through from NMLRA. Thye are legit charges and REALLY starting to roll in.....ouch?

On Sunday morning (June 16) there was up to about 5 inches of water on the lower portions of the woodswalk course. It was walkable, but I wouldn't want to put a rifle butt into the water to load it, and a flintlock's pan might be re-named a canteen.
