Continuing on with meeting goals......have sold our our house and such, bought a diesel truck and a toy hauler and getting ready to retire and hit the road and see what we havn't seen yet......soooo no more hunting for me....selling the muzzle loader.....need three more posts.

WHY sell the muzzleloader??? Sounds to me like you now have plenty of time to tour the country and stop at random rendezvous. Check out all of the listings at crazy crow and you'll be amazed at how many beautiful places you can camp and do some shooting throughout this wonderful country. You'll encounter nothing but Great Americans along the way.
 
If you are planning on staying in the states there should be no problem with transporting a long rifle, especially a ML. Now if you want to go into Canada or Mexico, then there may be problems and I don't have an answer. If I were doing what you are doing, I would consider having a trusted family member keep several of my favorites for me. If I had no sentimental attachment, then I might sell them, thinking I can always buy a replacement if I wanted in the future.
