I got my Bear, Buck, & Cow elk tag
Wife got her Buck & Cow tag
We were both skunked last year, so the Freezers will be nearly empty by this fall. Good timing if we can connect. :)

I sure hope you and your wife connect. Maybe get enough to have to buy another freezer.:thumb:

Thanks, really want my wife to get her Buck. That is top priority for me. She hunted unit 3 a few years ago, but I had failed to adequately prepare her for how short a window you have in open sage :( She just could not adjust to the almost snap shooting needed in that open country.

I won't make that mistake this time! I already have ideas spinning through my head for targets that present for only a few seconds before dropping out of sight.

Muzzleloader cow, centerfire pronghorn. No deer tag, so trying in the leftover draw. Thinking about getting a concurrent bear tag to go with the elk tag, but I know nothing about bear hunting.

Sean, so you hunt with your ML in the CF season? With the help of snow.

Mostly it is because I have people I hunt with who don't hunt ML, so I just limit myself to ML while still getting to hunt with them. As I think about it I don't think I have EVER drawn a Muzzle loader only tag. Yes the snow helps +I like it for tracking ++ I don't much like having an elk on the ground in weather about 50 F Unit 10 is a wintering ground, so in early November I bet there aren't 50 elk. . . .by late December there can be 500 or more.

Sean, I could easily have hunted with a muzzleloader with my rifle tag last deer season, so I can see the appeal. Hoping I get a halfway decent tag this year.and can whack a doe with a round ball.

Hope everyone has a good season(s). I drew ML doe antelope, ML deer Platte river bottom, and archery bighorn ram. I'll buy an
OTC archery elk tag and maybe pick up a B list CF elk tag depending on what the rest of the family draws. Gonna get busy August 3rd (sheep) and stay that way into
October.
