This light really helps me see all the way to the breech.
Runs on AAAA batteries, which are hard to come by but it beats the drop in lights, which seem to have a green or yellow tint. The wand is 18” long.
Now I can quit guessing.

Would you share where you got it and the price? I'd like to have one.
Maybe share a source for AAAA batteries too? I never knew there were any smaller than AAA except for coin batteries.

I simply shine a small penlight down the barrel, I can easily see to the bottom of the breech....

I've heard where some guys drop a shiny ball bearing down the bore and direct a light on it. Just be sure and use a ball bearing that is somewhat smaller than the bore diameter. Or else it could get stuck like it did for this poor fellow.

Someone used to sell sets of little mirrored discs you could drop down the bore.

I had an LED white "frosted" light on a sleeve just large enough to hold a pair of hearing aid batteries that Squire Robin sent me. Worked great until I tipped the rifle to slide it back out and bobbled the catch after a 44" head of steam and on past the bench to the concrete floor. Stopped working then. :-(

I use the same light without the extension, just shine it down the bore reflection shows it all. And if I need a better view I have a bore scope. You can buy AAAA batteries at Home Depot or Lowe’s at least here you can.

Simply go to Walmart in the fishing section. Look for the Thill brand bobber light. The diameter is small enough to drop in a 32 caliber bore. They run like 4 bucks, I have had mine for like 3 years and it still works like a champ. I have used these little rascals for years to inspect bores.

What sort of batteries does a Thrill bobber use? I would think either "light" would work great. Its the availability of its batteries/power source which will more than likely determine which is used. Plus I guess the initial cost would have something to do with it too? Also my nephew left some of his glow sticks in my pickup last Halloween. The yellowish one kind of works. But these are one time deals. No batteries here.

I had one of those cheap USB cable things. There was not enough light put out by the cable making it difficult to see details. I use the electronic sight pins mentioned here before. They're green, but really light up the bore.

I've used this small diameter light for many years. You can break the pocket clip off and it will easily fit a .32 caliber bore. It has a hole on the end which you can attach soft wire or nylon string (works better) and the bright white light shows both vertical and horizontal through the tiny holes on the side.
They use to carry these and replacement batteries at O'Reilly Auto Parts. But the last one I got was off the Internet. Really works well.

Some of the endoscopes that proliferate on eBay have a usb interface that can be fed to your smart phone or computer. You have to read the description and specifications.
That's what I use. Just sit in front of the computer, watching it on the screen. Click the button to take pictures at any point you like. Pretty cool.

Yep, me too, until it got stuck in the breach. Lots of cussing while I work on getting it out

I've got an ink pen with a small light on one end and I use that to look at my bore. I like the idea of the endoscopes from Flea Bay to be able to see the bore on a computer screen. What a novel idea!
