Greetings all! I am from northeast MS but live in the muddy ol’ Delta area. I started making hand cannons from tractor bolts on the drill press and matchlock/zipgun pistols, and now I got the dreaded “bug.” I love old guns and like working with my hands. Made a flintlock elephant gun and a southern mountain rifle for friends.
I want to learn a lot and share what I make on here. Anyone near the MS delta wants to chat smokepoles give me a holler on PM.

Welcome!

One serious oak blunderpotz in that first image!

And a beauty in the second.
Thanks! I was given a kit to finish that had GORGEOUS striped maple, and then the eclipse happened, so i had to put an inlay.
And I love that you could tell the big gun had oak stock. Those huge pores and dramatic early growth rings really soak up stain.
