Ordered a new Allentown barrel from Rice on Thursday. Planning for my next project. Any feed back/experience about this barrel would be appreciated. I am now shooting my first Rice 38" swamp barrel in 50 cal. It shoots very well and loads smooth.

Hi Larry,
I have one of those barrels in "C" weight, which I will use it on an early Peter Berry long rifle that I should start late this summer. It is a nice, authentically profiled barrel. It has good dimensions for my Berry project although the original barrel was a little thicker in the waist. All Rice barrels I've used shot really well.

I'm with a Dave. I've used easily 15 Rice barrels, and every one of them shot great.
In fact, sending exactly that barrel to Dave Rase to inlet for a Lehigh.
