I don't have a problem with someone shooting with a peep sight either. I just do this for fun and it is an honor system anyway. I would say if someone needs to use peeps because of aging eyes, welcome. Now if 1776 wins all the matches for several months with that new rifle and peep sights we will just have to ban him. :)

In that case, I'll just have to lose one now and then.

This is exactly what i was hoping to hear. I am most certainly NOT an HC / PC nazi! I've considered putting a peep on my rifle because my eyesight sucks! (probably legally blind without glasses). I'm going to (try) and start a poll on this. If it seems those interested in shooting my contests don't mind Ill edit the rules to allow peeps in future contests.

Just as an idea, we haven't done a partner match in awhile. Last one we did was a blast.

Could be cool for us all to try and recruit someone who doesn't shoot regularly to partner up with us.

Food for thought .

OK, so Terry lost track of time (March already?? Dang!!))

Winners are as follows:
Turkey shoot has 5 shooters
Russel Shaffer took 1st with 40 points
Logcutter came in second at 35 points
Maven was a close 3rd with 32 points
Silky took 4th with 22 points and Kansas Jake took up the last slot with 21 points.

Tree shoot:
Kansas Jake was the only shooter so he wins by default with 13 points

5 Bullseyes
Kansas Jake takes first with 3 points
Russel Shaffer second with 2 points
Juice Jaws came in last with 1 point

Thanks to you all who shot, but with the spread of shooters across three I didn't see enough participation to do another multi target shoot. Ill keep it at one target per month for now.

Special thanks to Kansas Jake for shooting all three targets.

Congratulations to all, and especially Kansas Jake for having the guts to choose and shoot at the tree target. (With the orientation of our range and low sun at this time of year, the tree target is impossible to see. Come to think of it, it's difficult to see period!)

And thanks once again Terry for running these contests!

On the tree, I just aimed for the center of the paper.

I shot two guns on a 19 degree day. Maybe my shaking helped me offset my normal wobbles. I used two guns, an old Ardesa Hawken on the turkey. It has a rough barrel and became very hard to load. I switched to a Traditions Deerhunter 32 to shoot the other two targets. It loaded nicely even in the cold weather and trying to line up those little peas over the patch.
