Two moderately used .44 caliber Uberti 1860 Army percussion revolvers. Manhattan conversions and action jobs by the late Frank Leaman (the finest master gunsmith for percussion revolvers in modern times). Treso nipples and engraving on backstraps. Two custom double-thick FB Walker Slim Jim holsters and a leather belt. Includes a Ted Cash capper, nipple wrench many wads and lead balls. Must be sold as a pair with all of the above. No trades. Price is absolutely firm. $700 plus $35 shipping to the continental USA where legal. I won the SASS Cowboy Action Shooting High Plains Regional Frontiersman class with these plus several local meets. They have never once failed to fire.

The "conversion" simply closes the gap between the recoil shield on the frame and the cylinder/nipples with two small welded metal plates. It also creates a narrow channel for the hammer, that is less than the width of the cap so it can't be pulled back through and land under the hammer. The hammer is also narrowed (to fit through the plates) and flattened to help prevent it from grabbing the cap.

Are you getting out of SASS competition.

Deb and I have been away from competition since August, 2006. After three Colorado State Championships and seven Regional class wins between us, it was enough. It got to be too much work and shooting Old West works of art fast just didn't seem right after while.

After much restive thought I have decided that I can't part with these old friends. They never let me down. I may have to build a display case for them but they will stay mine for as long as I live.

A place among your trophy s would be very fitting. And besides they look too cool not to be looked at and fondled now and again:)

So they are not for sale now??

Correct. They are no longer for sale. I don't know what I was thinking. I don't need the money - just have too many guns left over from the good old days.
