This 62 caliber "unadorned" Jaeger (RH) is built around a Match Grade Rice 31" swamped barrel with deep round bottom grooves in a 1-66 twist. The bore is bright and clean. ToTW's Extra Fancy Maple stock has good figure throughout most of the stock. A sliding wood patchbox is installed. The brass furniture has been allowed to gain a natural mellow patina. The lock and triggers are RE Davis styled in early Germanic fashion. Since this gun prefers a tight patch/ball combo, the wood ramrod has been replaced with a brass rammer threaded on both ends. The vent liner is removable (slotted). As pictured, this rifle is sporting a traditional looking brass peep sight and a marbles ivory bead front sight. Included are a Jaeger styled rear sight with a flip up second sight panel for longer range shooting and a "whale tail" front blade sight, which can be changed out with the current sights should a new owner desire those more traditional sights. Length of Pull is 13 5/8". A leather Jaeger sling is installed and a .610 Lyman steel round ball mold is also included. Demin material that measures .025 crushed will also be included as this is what worked best with a .610 round ball.
This gun has been used in the field and I've taken whitetail with it. It is relatively short and easy to carry and maneuver in the field, especially with the installed leather sling.
Targets are pictured showing a couple loads the gun "liked." A smaller .600 ball worked, but required an over powder card to help seal the bore. As you can see, even with me as the shooter (I'm no expert target shooter) this rifle is capable of good groups on paper and accurate shots on game.
This rifle is a great unadorned field gun, but I am pointing out a couple of cosmetic "defects" in the pictures below to be sure a buyer is aware of them prior to making a purchase decision. Neither affect the performance of the gun in any way, but I'll be the first to admit that she might not win the "Most beautiful girl at the ball" award, though she's not exactly ugly either!
At current ToTW pricing, the kit with the upgraded options, leather Jaeger sling, and the Lyman mold would cost $1231.88 plus shipping and any applicable sales taxes. Because of the above mentioned cosmetic defects I am only asking $1075 shipped, where legal, in the lower 48.

Here is a picture of the first cosmetic defect. During the build process a thimble inlet was cut and had to be changed. The cut was repaired. You can see this behind the thimble in the pictures...one with the ramrod in place and one with it pulled forward. A hole was also plugged:
The second cosmetic defect was an impact from using a Lead Sled with the stock captured in the buttstock holder. The pressures caused the brass buttplate to press into the pictured area and two shallow fractures occurred. They were stabilized and I've never had an issue with them expanding further, but they are visible.
Otherwise, there are really no handling marks on the stock.
