....time I was back to work!
Been off since December the 18th, the day I had surgery for a hernia.
Only now do I feel ready for work and besides, I need some income!
My faux fuzee trade gun has been producing table fair for a few days now uncleaned and loaded overnight. No corrosion and no hangfires.
Today I missed a rooster that Jess sprang from cover. Then later I got a duck on the wing as it departed a small ditch and later still a departing rooster off the wing as that left a ditch too.

Those two birds are special and helps my resolve to keep the nitro guns just where they belong, LOCKED UP!
Boy is it going to be hard going back to work tomorrow:(

Take it easy going back, had a hernia oper. years ago, be careful lifting anything heavy. Nice shooting, your stories brings back memories of my younger days. Grew up along a river bottom and all kinds of different game to hunt. Jess taking the day off or is he chewing a stick somewhere?

Thanks.
Jess has it all figured out!

I got my hernia out of the way when I was still a toddler. You do need to be careful for a little while longer. And Nate, you are truly a hunter's hunter.

Well done Brits and I agree with Smo those are beautiful birds. Look at the colors on that duck. I like that you post these pics because its interesting to see another hunters dog and gear and gun. Brits you best be careful for a few more weeks. You don't want a set back after you came this far.
