I have a slightly older version that I'm going to get shooting again, these are good rifles. And yes you can get round ball many places, I bought some in a real store near me. I also recently bought a Lee mold that has .440 round ball and a REAL conical that I'm going to try.

Mine was better than minute of milk jug at 50 yards with 70 grains black powder and patched round ball the last time I shot it some 40 years ago. Need to fix some mistakes I made back then or might have been shooting it this morning. I think mine has a maple stock, was around the 1979-1982 time period when I last used mine.
