I want to create my idea of an ultimate turkey hunting/foraging gun but can’t seem to find the .74+ caliber smoothie I’m looking for at a price I am willing to pay for such an experiment. If I knew I could get the shot pattern I wanted I wouldn’t mind taking a hacksaw to the Pedersoli Bess I have. So I will try a different tack.
Does anyone have an India made FLINTLOCK that is sitting in the closet? I have ready cash but will not pay the cost of new for used. What have you??

Why don't you sell your Pedersoli Bess, buy a new India made smoothbore from Loyalist or ?? and you'd have money left over. Saw off the new one and jug choke it to get what you want.

If my plan doesn’t work I want to have the Pedersoli Bess to fall back on. I don’t want to jug choke anything. If the short gun produces the patterns I expect it to I will indeed sell the Pedersoli. I just don’t want to put the cart before the horse.

Don't know what your budget is but this is new and less than 1/2 the cost of a Pedersoli one. $529

If you buy a used or new India made gun, or rather before you buy one, check out this web page for a tutorial on what to expect to make one reliable and fully functional. Good stuff here on India made musketoon take was tuned.
