The Ancient Ones Of Maine are looking for a few different insurance carriers. We want to have a summer vous in 2020 and we are looking for quotes from some good companies. Who do you folks use? Insurance is a necessity these days!
Thanks

We were an NMLRA affilliated club (Daniel Morgan's Riflemen) and held a very large shoot for 19 years, their insurance was the most affordable but that was 20 years ago. A percentage of the club had to be NMLRA members. NRA insurance was much more at the time. You won't have many companies to choose from since your event will involve firearms.

There are a bunch of companies that offer "shooting range" insurance, and they often offer "camping site" insurance. The key is that you can often save some good money IF you get the minimal insurance, and arrange with the company for a "temporary rider" that covers the actual event. So they charge an extra fee, but it's much less than a the fee for range that is open for 12 months out of the year, and you get all of the coverage for the week or two of your event. You have to ask for this, as they won't advertise it, and it's an internal policy thing so you never know which company will offer it, or if they will offer it in the future if you get it this year.
