looking for shooting bag

I might add that the other recent threads I mentioned above were quite critical (with some feeling very personal) of others' comments.

Beaver tail bag is 6" X 6 1/2" The other one is 6" X 9"

I have one from The Leatherman, the Woodland Game Bag with Hangers. I love it, it is constructed very well. It has been hanging in my bedroom unused for several years. That changes in 2 weeks when 5 of us are going shooting at a friend off the grid cabin in Pa. I have seen their stuff at Dixon's gunmakers fair. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their bags. I got one of their straps also.

I check the handbag and backpack section of my local thrift shop for exactly that reason. Found a couple of nice dice bags for Dungeons and Dragons dice, but no possibles bags yet.

There was a fellow here, (Cutfingers) who did leatherwork of different types, he has not posted in quite some time. Come to think of it, horner75 has not posted since his wife died.

He made a bag called a "port·man·teau". It has a handle on top like a suitcase. I had him add "d"rings on each end to put a detachable leather sling which is adjustable. What I really like about the bag is that it has a flat hard bottom and you can set it upright on the ground and does not fall over.

Might do search on the internet for photos of what they look like.

Cannot go wrong with a Leatherman bag at all.

I have a few bags both finished and unfinished that I would be happy to sell. I try to keep mine along 18th/19th century lines and make them affordable as well. If anyone’s interested just send me a message. I’m a long haul trucker and leather work is what I do when waiting to load, unload, etc....

I often wondered if horner75 who was a long distance trucker worked on horns while waiting on loads or sitting in a rest area stop somewhere.

Cutfingers had some stuff for sale on the classified forums within the last few months if I remember correctly.

Have not see a post from him in some time, I have his business card, will send him a note and see what happened to him. He retired from the Cal. Govt.
