Hello all,i’m primarily a cap/ball shooter from Maine. I’ve also realised i have an interest in muzzleloaders so i thought this would be a great place to read/learn and perhaps join in.

You’re in the right place. Welcome to our forum my friend! This forum covers everything that Traditional Muzzleloading has to offer as well as other aspects that go along with it.

We look forward to hearing more from you in the very near future my friend.

God Bless and welcome aboard!

Respectfully, Cowboy

Welcome fellow smoker......
My B.I.L. lives in the Easternmost town in your state. (Brags about being the first to see the sun rise in America every morning...)
How far are you from there?
I’m more inland and south of your B.I.L. He must be near Lubec. Thanks for the friendly welcome guys.

I'm a Newby here also from Maine "Calais Maine" as far east as one can get. I'm now living in south-west Virginia" they are still fighting the civil war here. Maine winters are just too hard for me now. I have been shooting smoke poles for over 65 years & BPC and I am still learning. always good to meet another maine'r.

Hello sir,i’m down in Cumberland county. I recently brought a Dixie Gun Works 32 cal. to a smith to have it’s lock and drum repaired. It was given to me a decade ago, never shot it and decided to clean it up as it was very rusty. It cleaned up nice and i hope the smith can repair the lock(broken spring/has to make the part) and maybe i’ll have my first muzzleloader in time for spring.

Sorry Lane, but Lubec has you beat for being the farthest East. Check your Almanac.
Welcome to the dark side.

Hello and welcome to a fellow New Englander! RI here. Lot of information here and the greatest people you’ll ever meet. Enjoy and welcome aboard. Art

Greetings,

I'm in Maine. Live near Bonny Eagle HS. Shoot at the Buxton & Hollis club near Deer Pond. Shoot me a PM if you would like to see the club and maybe make some smoke.

Hi,
I am a newbie (pilgrim) from RI. I lived in Cambridge Me. for a short time. In a fit of stupidity, I returned to RI. There are a lot more squirrels there (Me.). Probably because the governor doesn't give them safe haven in the capitol city.
