Has anyone seen a photo or drawing of a matchlock with the pan attached to the lock plate like a flintlock? I think everything I have seen has the pan attached to the barrel. I have a project in mind but if the matchlock doesn't work for me I would like to use the barrel for a percussion or flintlock.

I forgot to attach the photo.

To bad it's just the lock, I would like to see the gun.

That's the late pattern matchlock. I have one fitted to a gun but the barrel is c1640 and has the pan dovetail filled in with a metal fillet that blows out every time I shoot it o_O

Oddly enough, some of the earliest matchlocks had pans attached to the locks as well.
Case of nothing new under the sun!
We are not to attach links here I don't think, but as it would not be to a shooting/black powder forum, would it be OK Mods?

See 4th lock down.

Best, R.
